NFT Arena is a decentralized project developed by the Metalayer Foundation, all assets are fully owned by the user community, the code will be rendered available on an MIT open source license.

METAL are the utility tokens of the Metalayer ecosystem, and have various use cases, one of which is as the [in-game currency](https://cryptoarena.gitbook.io/nft-arena-docs/economy/metal-tokens) of NFT Arena, used to buy cards in the market, to add a wager against others in tournament mode, or to pay fees for select operations, like bridging NFTs to different chain.
