Card rarity & power
How cards are generated
NFT Arena is unique among blockchain games because it doesn't have native NFT game assets at all, but rather utilizes external assets to generate unique in-game counterparts:
Any ERC 721 or ERC 1155 NFT can be used to generate a unique card by transferring to a smart contract, and each card can be used to retrieve the origin NFT it is associated with.
Depositing or retrieving an NFT costs gas plus a small markup distributed to nodes.
When a new NFT is deposited, the system receives its metadata, replicates it, gives it card format, and then assigns the card its "power" level depending on several factors (see below)
Done! a new card is available in your inventory.
Useful bonus info: retrieving an NFT requires trading back the unique card associated with it, when this happens, it is locked away until that specific NFT is deposited again. So if you retrieve an NFT that was a great card and sell it on Opensea, if the buyer deposits it on NFT Arena, he'll get the same exact card back.
Card Rarity & Power
Several factors are taken into account in the card generation process to determine the power of a each card:
Numerical rarity
Trait rarity
Price history
Verified collections
Partner program
As is hopefully intuitive, the more rare and valuable an NFT is, the greater the chance that it will produce a powerful card in NFT Arena. How it works.
Note: balancing is an ongoing effort requiring extensive testing and is subject to change.
